Set up a class
Once your class is here, Properize knows which versions the room needs — and you stop choosing reading levels every time you assign something.
Only you and your students see this. It is not published anywhere.
Save this link — it is your class
There is no account here, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to reset. Bookmark this link or mail it to yourself. Anyone who has it can edit this class, and we cannot send you a new one.
Standards for this class
These apply to every version you make here, and travel with the classroom code below.
What families at home receive
Your students each have their own level on the roster above, so the class as a whole sends none by default. Choose a grade only if you want it to act as a floor for families — it can make a family's setting stricter and never looser.
This note is for the classroom code only. It is shown to a parent before they accept, and their app puts it in front of its own editor word for word. It is not used for the versions you make here.
One link each
A student's link is handed out once and keeps working all year — everything you assign turns up on it. It does not expire when you assign the next thing, and editing this roster does not change anybody's link.
A link is unguessable, not secret — anyone holding one can read that student's shelf. It carries no name in the address itself.
What this class has been given
What is stored, and how to delete it
This class holds each student's name, the reading level you set, and a random link. It is kept in a separate database from the texts and the versions — nothing there records who read what, and nothing here can be joined to it.
Deleting removes the class, every student in it and every link, at once. The versions you made stay in the shared library, because they name nobody.
That class link is not valid.
The address may be incomplete — the part after the # is the
whole of it, and some apps cut links short. Try opening it from where you
saved it, or start a new class.
